This Privacy Policy explains how Avorelle ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit or shop at avorelle.com (the "Site"), or otherwise use our products and services (the "Services"). We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or in the law. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.

How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

To provide our Services, we collect personal information about you from a few different sources, as set out below. The information we collect depends on how you use the Site and Services.

As well as the specific purposes listed below, we may use your information to communicate with you, to provide and improve our Services, to meet our legal obligations, to enforce our terms and to protect our Services and the rights of others.

What Personal Information We Collect

The information we hold about you depends on how you use our Site and Services. When we say "personal information", we mean information that identifies you, or could reasonably be used to identify you. It doesn't include information that has been made anonymous.

Information We Collect Directly from You

The information you give us through our Services may include:

  • Contact details, such as your name, delivery and billing addresses, phone number and email address.
  • Order information, such as the items you buy, your delivery details, payment confirmation, email address and phone number.
  • Account information, such as your login details and any preferences you save.
  • Customer support information, such as anything you send us when you contact our team.

Some parts of our Services ask you to give us information directly. You can choose not to, but you may then be unable to use those features or place an order.

Information We Collect about Your Usage

We may also collect information automatically about how you use our Services ("Usage Data"). To do this, we and our service providers may use cookies, pixels and similar technologies. Usage Data can include details about your device, browser, network connection and IP address, and how you interact with our Site.

Information We Obtain from Third Parties

We may also receive information about you from third parties, including service providers who collect it for us, such as:

  • Companies that help run our Site and Services, such as Shopify.
  • Our payment providers, who collect your payment details (such as your card or bank details and billing address) to process your payment and fulfil your order.
  • Tracking technologies, such as pixels and cookies, used by us or our partners when you visit our Site or open or click on our emails.

Any information we receive from third parties is handled in line with this Privacy Policy. Please also see the Third Party Websites and Links section below.

  • Communicating with You and Service Improvement. To provide customer support and to understand and improve how our Services work.

Cookies

Like most online stores, we use cookies on our Site. To learn about the cookies used to run our Shopify store, see Shopify's cookie policy. We and our partners use cookies to make the Site work, improve it, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use it, and to run and measure our advertising.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can change your browser settings to block or delete them. Blocking cookies may make parts of the Site, such as the cart and checkout, stop working properly.

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. Our Site isn't currently set up to respond to these signals.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may share your personal information with third parties where it's needed to fulfil your order, for legitimate business purposes, or for other reasons consistent with this Privacy Policy. This includes:

  • With any related businesses we may have in the future.
  • If our business is sold or restructured, to meet a legal obligation, to enforce our terms, or to protect our Services, our rights or the rights of others.

  • Order and payment-related information.
  • Purchase history and other commercial information.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use or share sensitive information without your consent.

Third Party Websites and Links

Our Site may link to websites or platforms run by other people. If you follow those links, please read their privacy and security policies. We are not responsible for the privacy or security of those sites. Information you post on public platforms, such as social media, may be seen by others.

Children's Data

Our Services are not designed for children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security and Retention of Your Information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, but no security system is perfect and we can't guarantee complete security. Information sent over the internet may not be secure while in transit, so please don't send us sensitive information through unsecured channels.

How long we keep your personal information depends on things like whether you have an account with us, whether we need it to provide our Services, and our legal obligations, such as keeping tax records. When we no longer need it, we will delete or de-identify it.
